Great News for Tarner Park – Six Figure Sum for Play Area

Following a number of concerns about anti social behaviour in the park and the tired state of some equipment, Councillor Nick Child met with a number of officers and stakeholders last month to discuss how they can improve the situation. Some actions are still ongoing, but here are some really positive announcements:

+ We are going to invest a six figure sum in renovating and improving the children’s play area!!!!

+ We are going to install a higher and more secure fence to prevent illicit access at night

+ Security lighting and CCTV is being investigated

+ Our great team has spoken with some out of hours users about the noise impact on neighbours etc and this has improved the situation

+ The Police have been asked to increase regular patrols
