Sessional Playworkers
£12.00ph
Tarner is looking to recruit Sessional Play Workers with at least a year’s experience of working with children aged 4-11, preferably in an after school or childcare setting. Based in Tarner Park, Brighton hours are weekdays 2.45-6.30pm and some 8-hour shifts over school holidays.
You will need to demonstrate a sound understanding of play work and the principles of developing a creative, safe environment for children to have a consistently high-quality experience. The ability to build strong connections with children from a broad range of backgrounds is essential. You will also need to be able to work calmly with children with complex needs and/or family circumstances and work well as part of an established team. You will be pro-active, creative, have lots of energy and a genuine passion to make a difference to the lives of children.

Trustee Positions
Position: 1 Treasurer, 2 Trustees
Salary: Unremunerated voluntary position
Hours: Around 5 hours a month
Location: Flexible, meetings will normally be held bi-monthly in a location in central Brighton, 6-8pm
Trustee
We currently have 5 Trustees and are seeking one or two more to add strength and diversity to our board. We would like to co-opt a parent/carer to our trustee board and are looking for people who are passionate about the development of children and young people. They will be able to work with other trustees and senior staff to support and guide Tarner in our essential work.
Trustee’s are supported through training and ongoing support from our CEO and services manager, no prior experience is necessary

Local volunteers are a valuable part of our team. Tarner has 20 staff members and a dedicated team of volunteers.

Community pantry Volunteer
2 hours on Tuesdays in term time 11:00AM – 12:30PM
Sorting through weekly Fair share delivery and insuring the community pantry is well stocked.
